What is HCG diet?

The HCG Diet is a popular weight loss plan that utilizes the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone , also known as beta-HCG is produced during pregnancy and can help you lose weight by reducing appetite and prompting your body to burn fat. The diet typically consists of 500 to 1000 calories per day, with the goal of reaching a weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week.

What is HCG hormone ?

The B- HCG hormone is produced in the placenta and passed from mother to baby during pregnancy. It is also known as pregnancy hormone as its HCG levels increases with pregnancy.

It can be measured by simple HCG blood test or urine test.

How does the HCG diet work?

The HCG diet is said to work by manipulating the hypothalamus, a small region of the brain that helps control hunger, thirst, and other basic drives. It is thought that when people follow the HCG diet, they are able to lose weight because their hypothalamus is tricked into thinking they are not hungry. Some research suggests that the HCG hormone can help reduce appetite and promote weight loss.

What can you eat on the HCG diet?

The HCG Diet is very restrictive and limits what you can eat. It is typically based on a 500 to 1000 calorie diet, so there are no complex meals or carbohydrates allowed. You also need to limit the amount of fluids that you drink as these can also add to your weight gain.

HCG diet contraindications?

If you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding, or taking any prescription medicine, you should not use the HCG diet. Drinking alcohol is also not allowed on the diet as it can interfere with losing weight.

How long will I be on the diet?

The diet will last for as long as it is necessary to lose the weight. In most cases, those on the diet will lose between 1-2 lbs per week. This weight loss can be permanent depending on the reason you started on the diet.

Can I have a treat?

Yes, you can have a small treat (such as a piece of cake or fruit) on the diet.

Is it hard to follow?

The diet is not difficult to follow. However, it is important that you are aware of what foods you can and cannot eat.

Is the HCG diet right for you?

The human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) diet is a popular weight-loss plan that involves eating low-calorie foods and taking hCG supplements to induce a hormone that helps the body burn fat. The downside to the hCG diet is that it’s not permanent, so you have to be vigilant about following the diet and weighing yourself regularly to make sure you’re losing weight in a healthy way.
